Yellowcard Singer Due For Surgery

Yellowcard is forced to postpone a string of early summer gigs, as their frontman Ryan Key is suffering from vocal-cord ailments.

"We're disappointed to be postponing these dates, but it's a relief to know the source of the problems I'd been having with my voice," said Key in an official statement. "And it's much better to confront it now [rather] than later when it could be more serious. We'll be back on the road in June when we can give 100 percent."

As reported by MTV.com, Key's vocal problems first struck when the band was touring in the U.K. last December. Barely a month later, his cords flared up again and Yellowcard canceled yet another handful of tour dates in support of the just-released Lights and Sounds.
